Assignment Status

Assignment Status is the tag next to a specific assignment that indicates its status in relation to your submission. This information is helpful for determining when your assignment is due, how much time you have left, and whether resubmission is allowed or if it has already been submitted.

If you have not submitted the assignment and the due date is still days away, you will see a grey tag next to the assignment with a countdown showing the days and hours left to submit.

If you have not submitted the assignment and the due date is within a week, you will see a yellow tag next to the assignment with a countdown showing the days and hours remaining to submit.

If you have not submitted the assignment and the due date is just hours away, you will see a red tag next to the assignment with a countdown showing the hours and minutes remaining to submit.

If the due date has passed but the assignment is still open for submission, you will see two tags next to the assignment. One is a grey tag indicating that the due date has passed and you are submitting late. The other tag shows the remaining days, hours, or minutes until the assignment closes. After the close date, you will no longer be able to submit your assignment, and the portal will be closed.

When the close date has passed, you will see a red tag next to the assignment indicating that the due date has passed. This means you can no longer submit the assignment, and the portal is closed.

When the close date has passed and the portal has closed, your instructor may reopen the portal for resubmission. In such cases, you will see two tags next to the assignment. One is a blue tag indicating that resubmission is allowed, and you can go back into the assignment to make your submission. The other tag shows the remaining days, hours, or minutes until the assignment closes again.

After you have submitted an assignment, you will see a green tag next to the assignment indicating that the assignment has been submitted.
